Senior Electrical Engineer — HV Substation Design & Protection
About the Role
Eradeh Power Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead high-voltage substation design and protection engagements. You will be the technical authority on transmission-class substation projects, developing relay settings and coordinating protection while serving as the direct interface to transmission utilities. This is a principal-level role for an engineer with a deep substation portfolio who wants to shape the reliability of critical transmission infrastructure and mentor a growing team.
What You'll Do
- Lead 69 kV to 345 kV substation design and protection & coordination engagements.
- Develop relay settings on SEL platforms and ensure compliance with IEEE C37 and NERC PRC standards.
- Perform and review power system studies in ETAP and SKM.
- Serve as the direct interface to transmission utilities on interconnection, protection, and metering.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the protection engineering team.
What We're Looking For
- BSEE.
- 10+ years of experience with substantial 69 kV–345 kV substation design and protection & coordination work.
- Relay settings development on SEL platforms.
- Deep knowledge of IEEE C37 and NERC PRC standards.
- Proficiency with ETAP and SKM.
- Direct transmission-utility interface experience on interconnection, protection, and metering.
Nice to Have
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience leading multi-discipline substation projects end to end.
- Track record interfacing with multiple transmission utilities and ISOs/RTOs.
